ATLANTA, Oct. 05, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — ApolloMD is strengthening its partnership with the Emergency Medicine Foundation (EMF) through a new $15,000 research grant focused on emergency physician well-being and a $5,000 contribution to advance EMF’s work in emergency medicine research and education.
The Emergency Medicine Foundation/ApolloMD Health and Well-Being Research Grant will be awarded to researchers exploring evidence-based strategies to strengthen resilience, mental health, and well-being among emergency physicians and create healthier, more sustainable clinical environments.
“Emergency physicians care for patients and communities during some of their most difficult moments, and supporting the people behind that work is essential,” said Yogin Patel, MD, MBA, FACEP, Chief Executive Officer of ApolloMD and member of the Emergency Medicine Foundation Board of Trustees. “Through our partnership with EMF, we’re investing in research that can drive meaningful, evidence-based approaches to physician well-being throughout their careers.”
ApolloMD is also continuing its annual $5,000 contribution from its clinicians to further EMF’s mission and advance research within the specialty.
“ApolloMD’s commitment to both targeted research with their Wellness Grant and sustained support of EMF demonstrates the kind of partnership that moves emergency medicine forward,” said Jon Mark Hirshon, MD, MPH, PhD, FACEP, Chair of the Emergency Medicine Foundation. “This targeted investment, which will go through our standard proposal and review process like all our directed grants, will help generate evidence that can improve the well-being of emergency physicians while also supporting the broader research enterprise that strengthens our specialty and the care we provide to patients.”
Together, the research grant and annual contribution underscore ApolloMD’s continued commitment to advancing emergency medicine and championing clinicians who practice it.
